Get your MOLLE pack and operator gear on, and let’s bring the spirit. Our team theme is a celebration of camaraderie and service, not a requirement to carry a heavy load. Dress for your comfort and ability, and follow the organizer’s rules.
Run, walk or cheer on the people beside you. Veterans, war fighters, military families, friends and supporters are welcome to join our team.
More than a finish line
Hosted by the Placer Freedom Foundation, this inaugural event honors those who served and supports local organizations serving our military, veterans and their families. A large community turnout is expected, with the hope that this becomes an annual tradition.
We want our presence to carry both the mission of Veterans of California and the special purpose of this run: connection, gratitude and support for those who protected our freedom. Dedicate your race to a hero, visit the Honor Memorial Wall, and enjoy the live music and community booths.
How to join our team
- Open our Veterans of California team page on RunSignup.
- Select Join Group/Team, then choose the 10K, 5K or 1-mile run/walk and complete the organizer’s registration.
- Confirm that Veterans of California is your group/team, then bring your full battle rattle spirit on race day.
Registration and payment are handled by RunSignup. Check the organizer’s current pricing and race instructions before completing registration. Sign up by October 19 to secure your event t-shirt.
