What the commission is
The White House established the first ever President's Military Spouse Commission to bring military spouses directly to the table on the issues that shape their lives. The commission was created to study and recommend improvements to military spouse quality of life, including employment and hiring, license portability, childcare, healthcare, housing, and education.
War fighter readiness begins with family readiness. Today's session is the commission's first meeting, where members set their priorities and open the work to public view.
