US Army tests autonomous mass mine-laying with the Volcano system

At Camp Grayling, Michigan, soldiers remotely fired the Army's new Autonomous Volcano mine dispenser and had it lay two minefields without a driver — a vehicle-mounted system that can blanket 32 acres with up to 960 mines.
